GALLOWAY, GAIL KATHRYN age 70, of Knoxville went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 23, 2010. A native of Winston-Salem, N. C., she was a devoted Christian and a long-time member of Grace Baptist Church. Also, a loving wife of 37-years, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and a true friend to all. Survived by husband, Jim Galloway; children, Brian Waldschlager of Nashville, Paul and Kristi Waldschlager of Knoxville, Chris and Michelle Burke of Smyrna, Jason Galloway of Knoxville, Sam and Jean Galloway of Sevierville. Additional survivors include sister, Vicki Williams of Winston-Salem; grandchildren, Meghan, Cathy, Isaac, Jennifer, Jacob, Patrick, and Joshua; great-grandchildren, Reaves; nephews, Alan, and Chris; niece, Buffy. She leaves a legacy of abounding love, selflessness, and kindness. She was a brilliant, blue-eyed woman, who loved her Lord and life. She cared and greeted everyone with a huge smile. The family will receive friends at Grace Baptist Church on Tuesday, January 26, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. A celebration of her Homecoming will follow with Dr. Ron Stewart and Pastor Mark Barddom officiating. Graveside service and interment, Wednesday, January 27, 11:00 a.m., at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a memorial gift to Grace Baptist Church, Grace Christian Academy, 7171 Oak Ridge Hwy, or Cross Ministries PO Box 7344.
