Glenn was a member and elder in Beech Grove Primitive Baptist Church. He served as pastor at New Bethany Primitive Baptist Church in Cosby for fifteen years before his health forced him to resign. The church and his preaching God’s word were the top priorities in his life. He treasured the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also loved to hunt and fish, spending his time in the mountains.
Preceded by his mother and father, Toy and Edith (Clabough) Henry; brothers, Stanley, Bill, and Toy, Jr. Henry; sister, Catherine Henry; and step-mother, Fleta Henry.

He has numerous nieces and nephews and cousins, all of which he loved dearly. He had a host of wonderful friends and hunting buddies, several of which spent a lot of time with him sitting on his porch and drinking coffee after he got sick. He also had several “kids” that grew up around him which were special to him.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Covenant Hospice for their kindness and compassion in caring for him. Also, a special thanks to Gatlinburg Ambulance Service who took him to Fort Sanders Regional Hospital, Atchley Funeral Home, and all of the people who have brought food and visited over the past three weeks, and most of all, to all of the people and churches who have prayed for him and our family through all his illness.
