Susie Blair celebrates 88th birthday

BLAIR , LUTHER BENJAMIN "L.B." JR. - age 81, of Maryville, died Saturday, January 22, 2000 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Forest Hill Baptist Church. He was a veteran of WWII, was wounded in action and received the Purple Heart. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, was retired from Super X Drugs. He was a graduate from Everett High School, and Draughons Business College. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Benjamin, Sr. and Frances Morton Blair ; brother, Marion E. Blair ; infant brother, Vaughn Hunter Blair . Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Susie Cutshaw Blair ; daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Bobby Beaty of Maryville; grandsons and wives, Mark and Amy Beaty of Maryville, Mike and Teresa Beaty of Aragon, Ga., Bobby Beaty, Jr. of Maryville and Benjamin "Ben" Beaty of Maryville; great granddaughter, Natalie Beaty of Maryville; great grandsons, Noah Beaty of Maryville and Caleb Beaty of Aragon, Ga.; sisters, Juanita McGaha of Maryville, Ruth Corn of Brevard, NC; brother and sister-in-law, Walter Mack and Freida Blair ; special sister-in-law, Ethel Cutshaw. Masonic services and funeral services will be held Monday at 8 p.m. with Brother Bobby Beaty officiating. Family and friends will meet 11 a.m. Tuesday at Forest Hill Cemetery for the interment service. Pallbearers will be Mark Beaty, Mike Beaty, Bobby Beaty, Jr., Benjamin "Ben" Beaty, Caleb Beaty, and Noah Beaty. The family will receive friends Monday 6-8 p.m. at McCammon-Ammons Funeral Home, Maryville.
