MOODY, GENE MICHAEL - age 69 of Anderson County has fallen asleep in Jesus on October 12, 2010 at Methodist Medical Center. Moody was an ordained preacher in the Church of God of the Union Assembly, a member of the Church of God of the Union Assembly at Claxton, and he dedicated his life to serving the Lord. He was also a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason. He was retired from X10 at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory after 31 years service. Moody was preceded in death by James L. and Grace Moody; his brothers Ralph, Earl and Jimmy Moody; and his daughter-in-law Antoinette "Toni" Moody. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Patricia Moody; son Wayne Moody and wife Jody; daughter Sabra Bolden and husband Ronnie; grandchildren Daniel moody and wife Barbara, Whitney Schmidt and husband Robert, Jacob Moody, Scott Bolden and Rachel Moody; great-grandchildren Bryson Moody and Lylah Moody; brothers David Moody and Jerry Moody.; sisters Juanita Shelton and Sandra Dotson. Funeral service 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel with Reverend Jerry Cassell and Reverend Scott Moyers officiating. Family and friends will meet at Bells Campground Cemetery Friday at 9:45 A.M. for a 10:00 A.M. interment. Pallbearers Daniel Moody, Scott Bolden, Jacob Moody, Robert Schmidt, Wayne Moody, Ronnie Bolden, and Honorary Pallbearers David Moody and Jerry Moody.
