He was the son of the late Luther and Addie Miller Poe and was preceded in death by brother, John Poe ; and sister, Eva Poe Fine. Wayne was a retired employee of the Magnavox Co. following 32 years of service. He was a veteran of World War II, member of the French Broad Church of the Brethren and attended the Hills Union Methodist Church. Survivors: wife, Eileen Griffin Poe of Dandridge; son, Kenny Wayne Poe ; daughters, Connie Poe Richards and Robin Poe Jones, all of Knoxville; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; brothers, Ray Poe and Paul Poe , both of Dandridge; and sister, Bonnie Poe Thomas of Sevierville; special sister-in-law, Jo Carolyn and Martha Poe . Funeral service Friday 11 a.m. at Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Rev. John Crabtree officiating. Interment to follow at Hills Union Cemetery. Friends may call at their convenience Thursday afternoon and evening at the funeral home. The family will be at the home of Paul and Martha Poe , 554 Hwy. 139, Dandridge.
