He is preceded in death by his parents Ed Hancock and Ruth Veach and wife Edna Hancock.
Survivors include:

Daughter: Sherri Jones and husband Terry
Sons: Gary Hancock and wife Beverly, Jim Hancock and fiancé Carrie Clark
Grandchildren: Bryan and Megan Hancock, Chris Hancock, Kira and Wes Boyatt
Eight great-grandchildren

Eleven step-grandchildren
10 step-great-grandchildren
Sister: Mary Helen Thaxton
The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Saturday with funeral service to follow at 7 PM in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Brandon Cate officiating. Family and friends will meet 10 AM Sunday in Oak Grove Cemetery for graveside service and interment with Wes Boyatt officiating. Arrangements by Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
