He was born October 17, 1916 in Huntington, West Virginia to Peter and Mary (Knee) Houvouras. He was a United States Navy Veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Linda (Parker); six children and spouses, Mary& Steve Caudell, John T. Houvouras of Englewood, Peter & Paula Houvouras, Vandalia, Katherine & Evron Colhoun, Englewood, Athena & William West, Knoxville, Tennessee and Selena & Mike McLeroy, Greenville, South Carolina; seven grandchildren and one sister and spouse, Mary & Al Gootee. His former wife, Elizabeth and two brothers, Peter and William Houvouras, preceded him in death. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME.
