Emma Mae Fox, age 88, of Newport, went to be with her Lord, Monday, April 26, 2010, at her home. She was a faithful member of New Bethel Free Will Baptist Church of Newport. She was a wonderful Christian wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother and great great-grandmother. She devoted her life to her husband, home and her five children. She was preceded in death by her husband, of 59 years, Haskell Johnny Fox; parents, C. C. and Pearl Freeman; brothers, James, Billy and Fred Freeman; sister, Lorraine Lawing all of Greeneville, TN; great great-grandchild, Skylar Fox; and brother-in-law, J. L. Easterly. She is survived by her children, Johnny Steven Fox and wife Blenda, Parrottsville, David Christle Fox and wife Carol, Newport, Gail Frisbee and husband, James, Parrottsville, Gary Lynn Fox and wife Jeannie, Dandridge, Kay Cureton and husband Preston, Parrottsville; sisters, Betty Easterly and Alma Dean Holt and brother-in-law, Jackie Holt all of Greeneville; her grandchildren, Tammy Butler and husband David, Terry Fox and wife Holly, Troy Fox and wife Janene, Timmy Fox and wife Jenelle, Davy Fox, Gina Crum and husband Chad, Angela Messer and husband, Scotty and Stacy Fine; eleven great grandchildren; and seven great great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 8:00 pm Tuesday, April 27, 2010 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Willie Winters and Pastor Alfred Cutshaw officiating. Burial will be 10:00 am Wednesday, April 28, 2010 in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm Tuesday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral services.
