Mrs. Greta Caughron Evans , age 73 of Cosby passed away Monday afternoon, July 18, 2005 at her home. She was a Baptist of faith. Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her parents, Harrison and Marilda (Ball) Caughron; infant sons, Roy Haskell and Benny Troy Evans ; husband, Clarence 'Pye-Tom' Evans ; son, Driskoll Ray Evans ; grandson, Danny Ray Evans ; brothers, Ira Wayne and Scott Caughron, and sister, Verta Sprouse. Her survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Robbie Evans , Randy and Donna Evans ; daughters, Sherry Evans , and Pricilla Evans and her companion Joseph Phillips, all of Cosby; grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, Gary and Gretchen Evans of Minneapolis, MN, Coy and Misty Evans of Jefferson City; grandsons, Benjamin Evans of Jefferson City, Jonathan and Daniel Frazier of Cosby; granddaughters and grand-sons-in-law, Marilda and Buddy Green of Jefferson City, Courtney and Billy Cogdill of Cosby; granddaughters, April and Amanda Underwood of Cosby; great-grandchildren, Kelly, Jacob F. and Jacob C., all of Cosby, Tanner, Hailey, Hannah, and Issac all of Jefferson City, Grant of Minneapolis, MN and Bryson F. of Sevierville; sister and brother-in-law, Velma and Thad Garver of Cosby; brother and sister-in-law, Loren and Deloris Caughron of Jacksonville, FL; additional survivors include several nieces, nephews, family, brothers and sisters in Christ, and friends including special friends, Leatrice M. Costner and Dovie Fowler. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday July 23, 2005 at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Edde and Rev. Scott Gorrell officiating. Interment will be at Caughron- Evans Family Cemetery. Family will receive friends between 6-8 p.m. Friday evening at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home. Arrangements by Costner-Maloy.
