PERRY, ALINE MYERS - age 95 of Jacksboro, passed away Sunday, April 18, 2010 at St. Mary's Health and Rehab. She was a life-long member of Jacksboro United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of East Tennessee State University and the University of Tennessee where she received her Master's Degree. She was a charter member of Delta Kappa Gamma Education Society where she served as its first President. Retired after 39 years of service as teacher in the Campbell County school system. She volunteered as a Pink Lady at LaFollette Medical Center for several years. Member of the Campbell County Women's Republican Club and the Campbell County Historic Society. Preceded in death by parents, Hugh and Myrtle Wier Myers; sister, Mary Ridenour; and husband, Joe; brother, Wier Myers. Survivors: daughter. Mary Jo Massengill of Clinton; son and daughter-in-law, Hugh Ray and Phyllis Perry, Jacksboro; grandchildren, Tisha Gay Maxwell, George Massengill, LaDonna Massengill, and DeAnna Robertson; great-grandchildren, Isaac, Kristan, Kendall, Travis, Erica, Jordan, Jacob, Mathew, and Maggie; many cousins, other relatives, and friends. Funeral Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jacksboro United Methodist Church. Rev. John Crabtree, officiating. Interment to follow in Jacksboro Cemetery.
