WOOD, FREIDA J. STEED age 72 of Loudon, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2008 at Colonial Hills Nursing Home. She was a member of Loudon Church of God. Freida worked in the health field at nursing homes in Loudon, Hillcrest, Shannondale, and in Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Louise Jaynes Steed; sister, Mildred McCrary. She is survived by her son, Daryl Lunsford and wife, Evelyn of Greenview, IL; sister, Carol Lewis and husband, Ronnie of Lenoir City; step grandchildren, Janelle and Mike Long of Greenview, IL, Bridgette and Justin Hill; step grandson, Steven of Greenview, IL; cousins, Pat McIntosh of Colombia, MS, Bill Versavage, of Midland, MI, Mable Hickey of Loudon, Danny and Larry Steed of Maryville, Imogene Tipton and husband, Virgil (Hop) Tipton of Maryville, J. C. Steed of Loudon; nieces, Cynthia Satterfield of Kingston, Martha Thomas and husband, Mike of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Bonita Mitchell of Lenoir City; aunt, Grace Steed of Maryville; nephew, Kenny Lewis of Loudon; special friends, Margaret Furrow and Barbara Hollister of Loudon, my soldier in Iraq, PFC James Dean. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Fred Cook officiating. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home by 10:30 a.m. Friday and proceed to Loudon County Memorial Gardens for 11 a.m. graveside services and interment.
