SAGINAW - The Rev. Willie Daugherty, a Baptist minister, died Wednesday in a Fort Worth nursing center. He was 70.
Funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Shannon North Funeral Chapel.
Burial will be in Azleland Cemetery.
The Rev. Daugherty was born in Hugo, Okla., and had lived in Tarrant County since 1949.He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10374.
Survivors: Wife, Bettie Daugherty of Saginaw; three sons, Rickey Lynn Daugherty of Azle, Christopher Lynn Daugherty of Saginaw and Gator Ed Daugherty of Fort Worth; three daughters, Doris June Sergent, Janis Kay Hall and Gilda Sue Mallory, all of Fort Worth; two stepsons, Calvin Eugene Roberts of Saginaw and Earnest Dale Maynard of Granbury; two stepdaughters, Tammy Gale Roberts of Pennsylvania and Tammy Humphries of Tennessee; four brothers, Howard Daugherty of Mansfield, H.E. Daugherty of Granbury and Kenneth Daugherty and Aubrey Daugherty, both of Grand Prairie; 25 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
