Anna Mae French, of Maryville, will celebrate her 95th birthday at a celebration from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Airport Hilton. Friends and family are invited to attend.
Mrs. French was born July 10, 1917 in Louisville to the late Louis Ballew and the late Mamie Ballew. She was married to the late Earl French. Her family includes daughters Peggy Blevins, of Maryville, Shirley Wood, of Ball Ground, Ga. and son Charles French, of Fairburn, Ga. She has six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Mrs. French worked as a housewife. She enjoys traveling to Kentucky three to four times a week to play Bingo.

Anna Mae French, age 98, of Maryville, passed away peacefully at her home the morning of September 3, 2015. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She spent her life caring for her family and enjoying playing bingo with her friends. Preceded in death by her husband, Earl French; parents, several brothers and one sister. She left behind her three loving children, Shirley and husband, Ed Wood of Georgia, Peggy sue and husband, Jim Blevins of Maryville, and Charles French of Georgia; 6 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She will be truly missed by many. Family and friends will meet 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Middlesettlements Cemetery for graveside service and interment.
