Pruitt, age 63, of Newport passed away at her home on Wednesday, October 5, 2011. She was a member of Northport Baptist Church. Christine was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Pruitt; mother Lydia Medley and many uncles and aunts. Christine is survived by daughters Becky (Larry) Strong and Jessica Dockery; grandchildren Evan Valentine, Cameron Strong and Carson Strong; sister Louise (J.D.) Suggs; nieces Louisea Stuart, Denise Davis; nephew Shannon Suggs and many other family members. Memorial services will be held at 6:00 PM Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Northport Baptist Church with Rev. James Suggs and Pastor Wade Holbrook officiating. The family will receive friends from 4-6 PM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the family to help with final expenses or to Cocke County Relay for Life c/o Tina Kilgore 222 Heritage Blvd. Newport, TN 37821.
