Carolyn Ann Kiser Hanley, 57, of Oak Ridge, died Sunday, June 16, 2002, at her home with her family at her side.
She was born Aug. 6, 1944, in Sevierville.
Mrs. Hanley was employed with J.C. Penney Co. and retired in 1998.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Her family said she loved fishing, camping and spending time with her friends, family and especially her three grandsons.
Mrs. Hanley is survived by her husband of 41 years, Don Hanley; her daughters, Debora Newman and her husband, Tippy, of Lenoir City, and Donna Lee Bingham and her husband, Tim, of Clinton; and her grandsons, Bradlee, age 13, Nathan, age 9, and Cory, age 7.
She is also survived by her father, Tilford Leonard Kiser of Oak Ridge; her brother, Bud Kiser and his wife, Billie, of Madisonville; her nieces, Marilyn Kiser and Cheryl Kiser , both of Cedartown, Ga.; her brothers-in-law, Jim Hanley and his wife, Della, Jerry Hanley and his wife, Sue, and Tommy Hanley and his wife, Carolyn , all of Knoxville, and Larry Leach of Kingston and nephew, Tony Leach, of Knoxville; her sisters-in-law, Pat Dowdy and her husband, Dave, of Knoxville and Peggy Wooliver of Jefferson County; and by several aunts, uncles and other nieces and nephews.
Lyle, Edna and Mary Ballard and Lucy and George Cagley are considered very special and dear friends of the Hanley family.
Mrs. Hanley's mother, Stella Kiser , died Nov. 11, 2001. Mrs. Hanley was also preceded in death by a sister, Norma Jean Kiser Leach, who died April 10, 2001.
The funeral will be held at 8 tonight, June 18, in the chapel of Weatherford Mortuary with the Rev. Steve McDonald officiating.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 19, at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
The family requests that any memorials be in the form of donations to Adventa Hospice, 1420 Dutch Valley Road, Knoxville, TN 37918.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the mortuary.
