(November 1, 1947 - March 23, 2010) James Artis Pace, age 62, of Newport, passed away, Tuesday, March 23, 2010. He was a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church, graduated form Cocke County High School and was employed by Sonoco Products for 44 years. He was a veteran having served in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Pace; parents, John and Launa Pace; grandparents, Jim and Bertha Pace, Bruce and Gladys Holt; and son-in-law, Danny Tracy. He is survived by his wife Lucille Pace; daughter, Lea Ann Holt and husband Ricky, brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Peggy Pace; grandchildren, Emily S. Tracy, Erin M. Tracy and Elisha D. Tracy all of Newport; nieces, Crystal Pace of Morristown and Wendee Owensby of South Carolina; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Fred and Stella Henderson, Dandridge, Sue and Ron Lane, Dandridge, Larry and Gail Henderson, Newport, Paul Henderson, Bybee and J. B. and Tina Henderson, White Pine; special friends, Susan and Vinson Frisbee, Brenda and Bill Ford, Drew and Linda Ramsey; also many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, march 27, 2010 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Arthur Willis and Pastor Steve Downard officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm Friday, March 26, 2010 at Manes Funeral Home. Manes Funeral Home in charge.
