PROVINCE, MR. ROSS CECIL "BOOTS", - age 74, of White Pine, formerly of Strawberry Plains, passed away early Thursday morning, May 11, 2000, at his home. He was a member of Holston Baptist church and was retired from Ideal Cement Company with 25 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Lowery Province; father and mother, Robert and Mary Province; brothers, Bill and James Province; stepson, Howard Thomas Jarnigan, Jr. Survived by wife, Mary Lane Province of White Pine; step-son, Doug Jarnigan of Dandridge; step-grandson, Ben Jarnigan; brothers, Robert Ray Province, Jr. of Luttrell, Calvin Province of Strawberry Plains, Roy Province of Strawberry Plains, David Province of Jefferson City, and Charles Province of Knoxville; sisters, Mary Emory and Wanda Forrester of Strawberry Plains; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday evening, May 12, 2000, from the Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Jefferson City with Reverend Hubert Bunch and Reverend Shawn Province officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Saturday morning, May 13, 2000, at Trentville Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday evening prior to services at Farrar Funeral Home, 411 W. Broadway Blvd., Jefferson City, Tenn. 37760 phone (865) 475-3892.
