Wolfenbarger, Irene Taylor, age 84 of Knoxville, passed away at her daughter's home on Monday, March 24, 2008. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of Norwood Baptist Church. She had retired after 30 years with the Armed Forces Examining and Entrance Station. Preceded in death by James E. Wolfenbarger, Jr.; father and mother, Walter and Lunar Bell Taylor; brothers, Little Walter, Hugh and Cliff; sisters, Mable, Edith and Maxine. Survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Jewel and Paul Lacy, Judy and Mackie Harper; brother, J.C. Taylor; 4 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and loving friends. The family would like thank the nurses from St. Mary's Hospice, and Dr. James L. Ogrodowski. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Highland Memorial Funeral Home. Following the visitation, Rev. George Williams will conduct the funeral service in the chapel. Family and friends will meet at the gravesite in Highland Memorial Cemetery on Thursday for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service. Pallbearers will be sons-in-law and grandsons: Paul Lacy, Mackie Harper, Randy Lacy, Mitchell Harper, Kevin Kelly, and Price Johnson.
