HANCOCK , JOE HENRY age 90 of Kodak, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2011 at Hillcrest North Nursing Center. Mr. Hancock was a member of Midway Baptist Church. He was a retired employee of Roddy Coca-Cola Bottling Company and served as a special events coordinator for the company for more than forty-two years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He is preceded in death by his wife, Annie Elizabeth Hancock ; parents, Frank and Georgia Smith Hancock ; siblings, Jake Hancock , Lindie Cate, Lizzie Hayes, Willie Hancock , Harvey Hancock , Fate Hancock , Adam Hancock , Edna Hancock , Paul Hancock and Frank Hancock , Jr. He is survived by his brother, Carl Hancock of Knoxville; sister, Leona Glenn of Knoxville; host of nieces and nephews and extended family. A funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 13, 2011 at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel with Reverend Michael Vincent officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Pollard Cemetery in Kodak for a 10:00 a.m. interment service. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday evening prior to the service at the mortuary. Online condolences may be extended at www.rosemortuary.com.
