HODGE, MARY V. - age 86 of Rutledge, passed away on Friday night December 22, 2001 at the St. Mary 's Hospital in Knoxville, Tenn. She was born on March 29, 1915 and is the daughter of the late A.V. and Hattie Combs also preceded in death by her husband, Fred Hodge; one infant son, Jimmy Hodge; three brothers, Emert, Paul and A.V. Combs , Jr.; one sister, Loraine Clapp. Mary Hodge was a member of the Shiloh United Methodist Church and a retired school teacher. She is survived by two daughters and sons in law, Ann and Mike Watson of Rutledge, Sue and Jim Dunn of Missouri; one son and daughter in law, Jack and Ruby Hodge of Corryton; one brother, T. Ralph Combs of Rutledge; one grandson, David and wife, Jenna Hodge of Mascot, Tenn.; granddaughters, Cindy and husband, Dwight Frazier of Rutledge, Carla and husband, Devin Stotts of Missouri; grandchildren, Emily Watson and Randall Watson; great grandchild, Channing Stotts of Missouri; and several nieces and nephews and friends of the family. Funeral services will be on Tuesday night December 25, 2001 at 8 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, Rev. Ronnie Maness will be officiating. Burial will be on Wednesday, December 26, 2001 at 11 a.m. at the Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. for an 11 a.m. graveside service. The family will receive friends on Tuesday night from 6-8 p.m. Smith Funeral Home in charge of arrangements for Mary Hodge.
