Terry Brent Buckner, age 42, of Newport, died suddenly, Wednesday, December 13, at his home. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph and Ishamae Worex, and brother, Dwayne Buckner. Survivors include his wife, Effie Buckner, of the home; parents, Alex and Mary Wanda Buckner, of Newport; brother, Michael Buckner, of Newport; nephews, Justin and Cory Buckner, Travis and Steven Griffin, all of Newport; and nieces, Lora Lane, of White Pine, Joyce and McKaylne Griffin, of New Jersey. Graveside service will be held, 2 p.m., Saturday, at the Union Cemetery, with Sister Christy Sutton officiating. Family will receive friends 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday, at Manes Funeral Home. Manes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
