Haskell Jess Kelley , 73, of Del Rio, went to be with the Lord Monday, April 12, 2004, at UT Medical Center in Knoxville. He was employed by Emerson Electric before his retirement and was a Baptist by faith.
His sons, Gary Wayne Kelley and Randy Jess Kelley ; parents, Roy and Ora (Crowder) Kelley ; brothers, Elmer, Roy Jr., and Robert Kelley ; and sister, Helen Rochester, preceded him in death.
Haskell is survived by his wife of 50 years, Cora Lou ( Moore ) Kelley , of Del Rio; daughters and sons-in-law, Vonda and Wade Strom, of Del Rio, and Carolyn and James Ensley, of Hot Springs, N.C.; son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Becky Kelley , of Del Rio; daughter-in-law, Paulette Kelley ; sisters: Lucille Hendricks, of S.C.; Martha Lou Moore and her husband Joe, of Greenville, S.C.; Charlotte Earle and her husband Robert, of S.C.; Betty Henson and her husband Charles, of S.C.; Doris Hendricks and her husband Ronald, of S.C.; grandchildren, Hollie and Davin Strom, Travis and Ginger Kelley , Jason and James Ensley, Tyler Hall, Chelsea Kelley , Steven Kelley , Jessica Jones and her husband Chris, and Tennille Finchum; great-grandchildren, Gavin Woody, Christopher Jones, Ty Ensley, Jubilee Ensley, Aaron and Brittney Coakley, and Blake Daniels.
Mr. Kelley will also be missed by several nieces and nephews, sister and brothers-in-law and a host of special friends.
Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, April 14, 2004, at 8:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Ashley officiating.
Graveside service will be Thursday afternoon, April 14, 2004, at 2:00 p.m. at Moore Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, April 14, 2004, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Brown Funeral Home has been honored to provide the final arrangements for Mr. Haskell Jess Kelley .
