Janice A. Ridenour Hatmaker , age 75 , of Andersonville , passed away Monday, July 1, 2013, at her residence.
She was a member of Grace Missionary Baptist Church. She was employed with Longmire Bus Lines in Andersonville and had driven for Anderson County Schools since 1977. Children throughout the county have grown to love and respect Janice as their bus driver and friend. Janice was also an employee of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton, where she had worked for several years and will be greatly missed by all the staff.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Luther "L.V." Hat-maker; her second husband, Leland "Lee" Hat-maker; an infant daughter, Athena Ann Hatmaker ; a grandson, Joey Hat-maker; her parents, Clyde and Helen Oliver Ridenour ; and a sister June "Buggy" Hammons.
Survivors include children, Luther "Louie" Hat-maker and Jan Wooddell, both of North Carolina, Katrina "Tina" Hamilton and Danny of Clinton, Randy Hatmaker and Maureen of Andersonville , Marie Riggs and Brian of Andersonville , Danny Hatmaker and Johnnie of Clinton, Marty Hat-maker and Misty of Wart-burg, and Chris Hatmaker and Rebecca of Knoxville; sisters, Lois McMillan and Charlie of Halls and Jennie Hodges and Eddie of Kodak; brothers, David Ridenour and Gwen of Grainger County, and Tommy Ridenour of South Carolina; 20 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; very special friends, Cindy Hatmaker , Dee "Mae" Bunch, Ann Huckaby, Robert and Jill Longmire, David Patton, Dessie Troyna, Wayne and Phyllis Bridges, Carl and Tammy Poore, and Johnny and Barbara Flatford.
Janice also had numerous other relatives and back porch friends who she loved and treasured.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton.
The funeral will follow with the Rev. Donnie Wallace officiating.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 4, at Red Hill Cemetery.
