Joseph "Joey" Hatmaker, 13, of Heiskell, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 1999, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Joey had been in poor health since the age of 2.
Joey was born Aug. 1, 1986, in Knox County. He was the son of Sandra R. Ridenour of Heiskell and of Daniel Hatmaker of Clinton.
In addition to his parents, Joey is survived by two sisters, Beth Ridenour of Heiskell and Tabitha Hatmaker of Clinton; his brother, Chris Ridenour of Heiskell; his grandparents, Louise Ridenour of Heiskell and Janice Hatmaker of Andersonville; and his great-grandmother, Dixie Ridenour of Heiskell.
He is also survived by three aunts and an uncle, Patti Baker of Heiskell, Marty Baker of Powell and Cheri and Tony Ridenour of Corryton; and by several cousins, great-uncles and great-aunts.
Joe Bennette and Lynette Currie were considered special friends.
His grandfathers, James Ridenour and Lee Hatmaker, died earlier.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Hickory Valley. The Rev. Gary Jenkins and the Rev. Steve Foster will officiate. Viewing will be the hour before the service.
Burial will follow at Humphrey Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight, Dec. 22, at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton.
