BALLARD, MARY KATE - of the Arminda Community, Knoxville, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday morning March 30, 2011. Mary was born November 4, 1929 of the late Moss and Rittie Humphrey of Hickory Valley, Andersonville. Mary was a Christian and a member of Green Acres Baptist Church located in Knoxville. Mary's whole life revolved around the Church and her family. Her passion was playing the piano at Church. Mary was preceded in death by her brother, Dorsie Humphrey, and sisters, Alene Humphrey, Paulene Tillus, Dixie Ridenour and Ollie Elliott. She is survived by her husband she loved of 63 years, Harry Ballard. She loved her children and their spouses, Ted and Jennifer Ballard of Andersonville, Eddy and Kathy Ballard of Knoxville, Kathy and Tim Wallace of Andersonville, Carol and Tim Witt of Knoxville. Precious to Mary were her seven grandchildren, Scott, Nathan, Derrick, Kelly, Misti, Katie and Leigha and eight great-grandchildren, Logan, Lauren, Tyler, Austin, Morgan, Jaiden, Taigen and Aydin; sisters, Eleanor Enlow, Virginia Sharpe, Annette Anderson; and brothers, Samuel and Calvin Humphrey. Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Saturday Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with Pastor Tim Wallace, Pastor Leonard Goins and Pastor Jerry Oliver officiating.
