Dennis Mark “Frog” Owens, age 53, of Newport, passed away, Friday, October 30, 2009. He was a member of Riverview Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, James P. and Myrtle Owens; and brother, Charles Edward Owens. He is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne and Janet Owens, Del Rio, J. P. and Sheila Owens, of Newport; sister, Susan Davis and husband, Henry Embrey, of Newport; brother, Mike Owens, of Newport; sister-in-law, Janelle Wright, Parrottsville; also many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 3, 2009 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Tim Grooms and Rev. Kenneth Wilson officiaitng, with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Monday, November 2, 2009 at Manes Funeral Home.
