Geraldine (Jerry) Hunt Petty, age 88 of Greenback passed away, Thursday, February 16, 2006 at Colonial Hills Nursing Center. She was a member of Meadow United Methodist Church in Greenback, TN. Preceded in death by: husband, Loyd Petty; mother and father, Homer and Lena Hunt; grandson, Kim McNeilly; brother, Lester Hunt. Survivors include: children, Loyd Petty Jr. and Martha, Faye & Harrison Spires, Carolyn & J. H. Russell; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Eileen Owsley of Maryville and Barbara Hatcher of Wilmington, NC; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Mary Millsaps and Carolyn Thompson. Funeral service will be at 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 17, 2006 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Steve Tuck and Rev. Ron Bailey officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 18, 2006 at Cloyd's Creek Cemetery.
