(April 14, 1942 - April 18, 2016) Leroy “Lee” Ramsey, age 74, of Maryville, passed away Monday, April 18, 2016 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was preceded in death by sisters, Joyce Ruff of Supply, NC and Edith Sigmon of Gastonia, NC; parents, Vic Ramsey and Zola Mae Ramsey of Greenback; and daughter, Tracy Laura Ramsey. He is survived by his children, daughter and son-in-law, Melody and Brandon Cook of Vonore; son, Stacey Ramsey of Maryville; brothers, Wayne Ramsey and Charles (Jane) Ramsey both of Greenback; granddaughters, Chelsey Raines of Maryville, Rachael and Reagan Ramsey of Maryville; step-grandson, Mason; great-granddaughter, Ryleigh Nicole Barnes; great-grandson Carter Jayce Barnes; lifelong friend, Brenda Rogers; and a niece and several nephews. Lee was an avid musician, hobbyist, and fisherman. Lee was a veteran of the United States Army from 1961 – 1964 as an expert marksman. Lee loved his children and all of his grandchildren. Funeral Service will be 7:00 PM Friday April 22, 2016 Pastor Doug Hayes officiating. The interment service will be 11:00 AM Saturday April 23, 2016 at Morganton Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday April 22, 2016 at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel from 5:00 PM till 7:00 PM.
