Murray, Sandra K., age 61, of South Knoxville, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2010 from complications of ALS. She was employed in the Controller's Office at U.T. Medical Center for 44 years. She was preceded in death by father, Elbert Murray; grandparents, Joseph and Della Murray and Ed and Elizabeth Headrick. Survived by mother, Ruby June Murray; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and J.L. Covington; brother, Roy (Bud) Murray; nephews and nieces, Tim Covington and wife Chris; Suzie Smith and husband Alan; and Kim Murray; great-nieces Kendall and Carolyn Covington; Ellie Smith and great-nephew Jay Smith; uncle, George Headrick; numerous cousins; beloved pets Opal and Iris; special friends at UT Medical Center. Family and friends will meet on Sunday, February 28th at 2:00 PM at Woodlawn Cemetery for a graveside service with Rev. Becky Milligan officiating. Family will receive friends on Saturday, February 27th from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Berry Funeral Home.
