Robert R. Wyrick, age 71, of Knoxville passed away Monday, May 2nd, 2011. He retired from the University of Tennessee Police Department after 45 years of service in 2004 as Lieutenant. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather with a heart of gold. He was the son of the late Goldie and Velma Wyrick. He is preceded in death by five sisters and three brothers. He leaves to morn his passing his wife Jane of 24 years, son David Wyrick of Knoxville, daughter Kathy Berrier and husband Mike of Sevierville. Stepdaughters, Debbie Daugherty, Angela Bennett, and husband Bill of Knoxville. Grandchildren Josh, Jacob, and Jennifer Berrier, Step-grandchildren, Justin Daugherty, Tori and Taylor Bennett who loved him dearly, brother and sister-in-law Ted and Eva Wyrick of Seymour, several nieces and nephews. The Family will receive friends Thursday, May 5th, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Highland West Memorial Funeral Home with Funeral Services to follow, with Pastor Brad Ervin officiating. Graveside Services will be Friday, May 6th, 2011 at 1:00 pm in the Highland West Memorial Park. Honorary Speaker, Chief Ed Youella.
