Our Mother, Eva Lee Davis, age 81, of Alcoa, went to be with her beloved late husband, Willis Don Davis, our Dad, Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at her home. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Lena Hitch; granddaughter, Belinda Buckner; and brother, Glenn Hitch. She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Ellis and Brenda Davis and Roy Davis; daughter and son-in-law; Linda Gay and Tom Stubblefield; grandchildren and spouses, Ricky and Lena Wilson, Trever and Janet Davis, Chad and Kim Davis, Gene and Liz Bruner, III, and Donavan “D. J.” Stubblefield; great-grandchildren, Jordan and Alex Wilson and Jayden Davis; great-great-grandchild, Harper Kenslee; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Louise Hitch and Fred and Maxine Hitch; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Rita Davis; great friends for many years, Louise and John Hawthorne; grand-dog who protected her to the end, Stubbie; and many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Amedisys Hospice Care, Maxine Hitch for always being there for her, and to her pal bearers. The family would like to especially thank her nurse, Beverle Carpenter for all the love and caring she gave our Mom. Funeral service will be held 8:00 PM Friday, June 3, 2011, at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Glenn Grubb officiating. Interment service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville, (865) 982-6041, www.millerfuneralhome.org.
