CAMERON, VELMA RUTH NOE - age 80 of White Pine, passed away February 22, 2010 at U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville. She was a member of Central Point Baptist Church in Rutledge, but attended First Free Will Baptist Church in White Pine, where she made many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Eugene Cameron; parents, Luther and Bertha Noe; sisters, Mildred Roach, Hazel Whitt, Dessie Roach, and Dorothy Speegle; brothers, L.C. and Vaughn Noe. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Brenda Cameron; special grandson and wife, Luke and Nikki Cameron; one great-grandson, Jonathon David Cameron; "special" granddaughter and family, Sara and Robert Sims and Taylor, all of White Pine; sister, Alma Combs; brother, Haskel (Mary) Noe; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Cameron, Helen Noe, and Willie Mae Noe; brother-in-law, Grover Whitt; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral services will be Thursday, 8:00 P.M., February 25, 2010, in the chapel of Smith-Reagan Funeral Home in Rutledge, with Rev. Dennis Daugherty and Rev. Duke Stratton officiating. Graveside services will be Friday, 11:00 A.M. in Central Point Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, 6:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. prior to services at the funeral home. Pallbearers include Chuck Barnard, Tom Helton, David Harold Noe, Doyle Byrd, Frank Parker, and Scott Spence. Special thanks to Dr. Huntsinger, Dr. Mahlow, and Dr. John Mack, Jr. of University Cardiology; and nurses and staff on the 7th and 8th floors for their special love and care.
