WHITT, HAZEL MARIE NOE - Born June 29, 1916 passed away, May 17, 2005 at Ft. Sanders Hospital. She was preceded in death by her father, Luther Clyde Noe and mother, Bertha Bates Noe, 3 infant siblings, sister Mildred Roach (Howard), two brothers, Vaughn Noe (Willie Mae) and L.C. Noe (Helen). She is survived by husband of 68 years and one month, Grover Frank Whitt one daughter, Glenda Seal Williams and husband, Jack one granddaughter, Lesa Nicely dear friend of the family, Steve Hawkins two great grandchildren, Travis Aaron Nicely and Jessica Paige Nicely sisters Velma Cameron (Eugene) Alma Combs (Phillip), Dessie Mae Roach (Robert), Dorothy Speegle, (Joseph W.) and one brother Haskell Noe (Mary Nell). Hazel gave her life to Christ at an early age and has been very faithful to her church, Holston Memorial Baptist, until her health declined, and was Past Matron of Mascot #55 Order of the Eastern Star. Funeral services will be 8:00 pm, Thursday, May 19, 2005 in the Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Beeler and Rev. Jerry Savage officiating. A graveside service will be 11:00 am, Friday in Grainger Memorial Gardens with Rev. Arthur Pedigo presiding. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm, Thursday prior to the service. Honorary pallbearers will be Rev. Buford Burnette, Marvin Curl, Donald Duck, Ray Gann, Donald Williams and Ralph Whitt. Pallbearers are David Harrell Noe, Glenn Noe, Noble Cameron, Lawrence Roach, Travis Nicely and Hal Whitt. Arrangements by Smith Funeral Home in Rutledge, TN.
