ROACH, DESSIE MAE NOE age 86 of Rutledge passed away Friday, November 28, 2008 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. She was a devoted and loving wife for 57 years; she was also a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a member of Mitchell Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert L. Roach; parents Luther Clyde Noe and Bertha Bates Noe; brothers L.C. Noe and Vaughn Noe of Rutledge; sisters Mildred Roach of Rutledge, Hazel Whitt of Blaine, and Dorothy Speegle of Corryton. She is survived by daughter Barbara and husband James Gray of Rutledge; sons Leon and wife Faye Roach of Rutledge, Lawrence and wife Linda Roach of New Market, and Doug and wife Ledena Roach of Talbott; grandchildren Debra and Steve Bull, Kim and David Morgan, Crystal and Eric Thomas, Stephanie and Ellery Drinnon and Jeremy Roach; great-grandchildren Lydia and Abigail Bull, Jamie and Jade Morgan, Kendall Thomas, Kailee Roach and Christopher Manley; sisters Alma Combs of Rutledge, Velma Cameron of White Pine; brother Haskel Noe and wife Mary of Mascot; brother and sisters-in-law Brownie and Mary Roach of Blaine, C.B. and Helen Roach of Rutledge; sisters-in-law Willie Mae Noe, and Helen Noe of Rutledge, Betty Watson of Kingsport, Mary Roach of Knoxville, and Polly Patterson of Blaine; brother-in-law Grover Whitt of Blaine; numerous nieces and nephews; a special thanks goes to caregiver Leonia McBee. The family will receive friends from 5-7 P.M. Sunday, November 30, 2008 with funeral services to follow at 7:00 PM in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home in Rutledge with Rev. Danny Lamb and Rev. Travis Bowden officiating. Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM Monday December 1, 2008 at Mitchell Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Arrangements by Smith Funeral Home Rutledge, Tennessee.
