Zaleen Lowe Whitlock, age 82, of Maryville, passed away Saturday, August 7, 2004, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, E.H. and Pearle Lowe; sister, Marjorie Lowe; and daughter-in-law, Cheryl Reagan Whitlock. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Kenneth M. Whitlock Sr.; son, Kenneth M. Whitlock Jr. of Louisville; son and daughter-in-law, Michael L. and Ann Whitlock of Maryville; three grandchildren, Derek, Kara and Sofie Whitlock; sisters, Patricia Lowe and Betty Leach, both of Johnson City; brother, Lewis Lowe of Sumter, S.C. Funeral service will be held on Monday, August 9, 2004, at 8:00 p.m. in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary. The family and friends will assemble at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 10, 2004, in Grandview Cemetery for Interment service.
