Georgia J. Pace, age 86, of Newport, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2003.
She was a member of Lincoln Ave. Baptist Church.
She was a worker in her church, a gardener, a quilter, a reader, and a friend to many.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Pace.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Sharon Pace, of Hendersonville, TN; grandchildren, Juli Pace, of Birmingham, AL, Andrew Pace and his wife, Claire, of Branden, Miss.; great-grandchildren, Matthew and Daniel Pace, of Branden, Miss; sister, Hazel Jarnigan, of Newport; also several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, January 4, 2003, at Lincoln Ave. Baptist Church with Rev. Craig Ward and Rev. Robert Walker officiating with burial in Union Cemetery. Body will lie in state 1:30 to 2 p.m. Sat. prior to service at Lincoln Ave.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Manes Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lincoln Ave. Baptist Church: 234 Lincoln Ave., Newport, TN 37821.
Manes Funeral Home is in charge.
