ELKINS, GLADYS LOUISE - age 74 of Knoxville went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on November 3, 2005 following a long battle with lung disease. She was surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by: her father, Hubert Horner, step-father, St. Clair (Joe) Grover, brothers, Lloyd Horner and J.W. Horner. She is survived by: husband of 57 years, Creed Elkins mother, Blanche Glover special sister, Faye Hart life-long friend Elaine Brown sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Gayle Elkins, Doug and Clydene Elkins daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Mark Lakin 7 grandchildren 2 great-grandchildren. Service 7 pm Saturday November 5 at Mynatt Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Wayne Lay and Rev. Clyde Lakin officiating. Family will meet at 1:45 pm on Sunday, November 6 at Roseberry Cemetery for interment.
