Barbara Ella Stuart Maples- age 91 of Seymour passed away at her home January 22, 2009. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a wonderful homemaker. She is preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Clyde Maples; parents Samuel Donelson Stuart and Edith Lynn Stuart; brother Sam Stuart; sister Edith Sublette. Survivors include daughter Amelia O’ Bannon and husband Harold, son Samuel Clyde Maples and wife Connie; brother Thomas S Stuart and wife Marian. Grandchildren Stephen O’Bannon and wife Kathy, Lydia Workman, Rebecca Hooper and husband Carl, Mark O’Bannon and wife Jennifer, step-grandson Kaivon Kiumarsi; great grandchildren Lindsay Newton and husband Travis, Ryan O’Bannon, Jessica O’ Bannon, Kalain Workman, Magen Workman, Camille Hooper, Kristen Hooper and step great-grandson Brice Klumarsi; brother-in-law J.P. Maples, sisters-in-law Ruth Pierce, Lillian Campbell, Ruth Maples and Barbara Maples. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 25, 2009 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Highland South Memorial Park Chapel with the funeral service to follow at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Larry Hitchens officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial be sent to Graystone Presbyterian Church where she was a member for over sixty years.
