She was a member of the New Sevier Home Baptist Church, where she was a dedicated Sunday school teacher. She participated in the clown ministry for several years. She is preceded in death by her parents N.R. and Ida Maples; brothers, Marshall (Tip) Maples, Paul (Tom) Maples, Albert (Demp) Maples, J.Clifford Maples; sister Hattie McCollum. She is survived by daughter, Karen Roberts and husband David; daughter Katrina Ellis and husband David; grandchildren, Holly Pooser and husband Jonathon, Natalie Griffith and husband Homer, Lindsey Roberts, and Daulton Ellis; great-grandchildren, Abilene Pooser and Amelia Griffith; brothers, J.P. Maples, Clyde Maples; sisters, Lillie Campbell and Ruth Pierce; cherished friend Glen McCoy. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 30, 2008 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Highland South Memorial Park Chapel. Graveside services will be Thursday, January 31, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. in Highland South Memorial Park with Rev. Chris Francis officiating. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the New Sevier Home Baptist Church.
