MAPLES, ALBERT N. (DEMP) - Age 74 passed away Friday, March 10, 2006. He was preceded in death by his parents, NR and Ida Maples, brothers Marshall ( Tip ), Paul (Tom), Sister Hattie McCollum and daughter Debbie Kidd. He will be sorely missed by his surviving family. wife of 53 years, Barbara sons Jeff and his wife Kim, and Clifford grandchildren Niki Osborne and her husband Travis, Jason, Anna, Justin, Joshua and Jeremy Maples great-grandchild Atkin Osborne brothers J.P., J. Clifford and Clyde Maples sisters Lillie Campbell, Ruth Pierce, Alice Julian and many loving nieces and nephews. He was a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church for 57 years. He retired from the sheet metal business in 1993. Mr. Maples served with the Navy during the Korean War on the destroyer USS Kidd. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Highland South. Graveside services are Sunday at 4:00 p.m. in the Valley Grove Baptist Church cemetery and officiated by Dr. Bobby Tucker. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Valley Grove Baptist Church cemetery fund. A special thanks to Floor 7B at Baptist Hospital and all his doctors and caregivers.
