Inez Minton, age 81 of Sevierville, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2008. She was of the Baptist faith and attended New Era Baptist Church. She was an active member of the Disabled American Veteran Auxiliary for more than 30 years where she held several titles including: State Commander, Chaplain, and most recently Commander of the Sevier County Unit, Chapter #94. She was preceded in death by her parents Andy and Candace Clabo, sisters Iva Baker, Jane Loveday, and brothers Buford, Frank, Charles, and Willie Clabo.

Husband of 62 years: Walter Minton
Children: Phyllis Ledbetter and husband Don, Paul Minton
Grandchildren: Jimmy Maples and wife Christy, Sandie Longmire and husband Clay, Janet Williamson and husband Todd, Edward Ledbetter and wife Whitney, David Minton
Great-grandchildren: Bryson and Olivia Maples, Chelsie and Dylan Longmire, Jessica Keasler, Tabitha and Gabriella Williamson, Conner and Ethan Ledbetter, and one grandchild on the way
Several nieces and nephews
Special friends: Kenneth and Brenda Veach, Clarence and Rita Webb
Funeral service 7 PM Wednesday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Dewayne White and Chaplains of the DAV Jim Dickerson and Gerald Clark officiating. Interment 11AM Thursday in Shiloh Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5 – 7 PM Wednesday at Atchley Funeral Home in Sevierville.
