Russell, Roger Dale – age 56 of Strawberry Plains passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2010, at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Member of Holston Hills Freewill Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Hubert and Naomi Russell. Survived by wife, Jeanette Russell; daughter, Tracy Gee and husband Wendell; son, Junior and wife Lisa; 4 grandchildren; brothers, Ron and wife Pat, and Kenneth and wife Janie; in-laws, Hollis and Edna Maples; brothers-in-law, Preston and Janina Maples, and Tom and Von Maples; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 7:00 PM Thursday, January 28, 2010, at Bridges Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Ellison and Rev. Lee Breeden officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45 AM Friday at Caledonia Cemetery for an 11:00 AM interment. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 PM Thursday at Bridges Funeral Home, 5430 Rutledge Pike, 865-523-4999.
