Curtis Ward, of Charlotte, died Tuesday, October 8, 2002 in Lyman, SC. He was 67.
Mr. Ward was born on June 11, 1935, in Lenoir City, TN, to Homer Ward and to the late Viola Wilson Ward. He retired from DuPont and started his own business as a consultant. He was a member of Calvary Church and an active member in Promise Keepers. He enjoyed running and was devoted to his family. He also served in the US Airforce.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, October 10, 2002, from the chapel of Calvary Church, 5801 Pineville-Matthews Road. Burial will follow in Magnolia Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 PM on Wednesday, at Lowe Funeral Home, 4715 Margaret Wallace Road.
Mr. Ward is survived by his wife, Genevieve Rathbone Ward; his father, Homer Ward; a daughter, Vivian Rademacher and husband, Paul, of Cary, NC; a son, Steven Hoyt Ward and wife, Rhonda Smith Ward, of Lake Wylie, SC; two sisters, Marjorie Ward and Sharon Jones, both of Augusta, GA; a brother, Hoyt Ward of Simpsonville, SC; four grandchildren, Maria Rose Rademacher, Kristina Genevieve Rademacher, Seth Harrison Ward and Tessa Kathleen Ward; and a best friend, Dick Brown and wife, Barbara.
Lowe Funeral Home is serving the Ward family.
