Gene Cameron, 68, of Trenton, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on March 2.
He was born in Bybee on March 15, 1931. He was a member of West Greene Freewill Baptist Church; a veteran of the Korean War; and a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Porter and Lily Cameron; sister, Elizabeth Livesay; and brother, Porter Cameron.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Elizabeth “Dean” Cameron; son and daughter-in-law, Ronald Keith Cameron and DanNell Lloyd Cameron; granddaughter, Alexa Kate Cameron; sisters, Viola Harrison of Point Pleasant, Eula Evans of Newport, Geneva Williams of Dandridge, and Ina Holt of Newport; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were 10 a.m. Tuesday at StubbleŞeld Funeral Home with Dr. Kenyn Cureton officiating. Interment was in the West Greene Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors by the Greeneville VFW Post.
The family received friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at StubbleŞeld Funeral Home in Morristown.
StubbleŞeld Funeral Home, Morristown, was in charge.
