Vernon E. Hudson, age 62, of Dandridge, formerly of Newport, passed away, Monday, January 18, 2010 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Etta Hudson; and brother, James Marshall Hudson. He is survived by his life long companion and mother of his only daughter, Pam Maloy; daughter and son-in-law, Missy and Mikie Allison; brother and sister-in-law, Sherman and Barbara Hudson; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy Lewis and Albert French; sister, Ethel Mason and husband R.T.; grandchildren, Damien Holt and Dylan Allison; special nephew and his wife, Shawn and Kim Hudson; special great niece, Sydnie Hudson; nephew, Chad Hudson; many other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; cousins, Billy (Joe Bob) Hudson and wife, Tammy and their son Austin Hudson; also Pam’s mother, Mary Frances Maloy; best friends, Bobby and Judy Gowan, Stevie McMahan and Bobby Gentry; and a host of many, many other special friends and He loved you all. Funeral services will be held 8:00 pm Thursday, January 21, 2010 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Mike Sledge officiating and eulogy by Ben Hooper. Burial will be 10 am, Friday, January 22, 2010 in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm, Thursday prior to the funeral service at Manes Funeral Home.
