Margaret Ann Bennett, age 80 of Knoxville, died Friday, August 13, 2010 at Asbury Place in Maryville.
Born in Knoxville, she was a daughter of the late Otha and Annie Clabo Thomas. Mrs. Bennett was a homemaker and a member of Marbledale Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Bennett; sisters, Ruby Lane, Pauline Branch, Evelyn Branson, and Sue Mowery; brothers, Herbert, Glenn, George, Lloyd, and Charles Thomas.
Survivors include son, Mark Bennett; daughter, Pam Baxter and her husband David; granddaughter, Sonja Garrett and her husband Craig; grandson, Eric Baxter and his wife Beth; great grandson, Bennett Whitely Baxter; sisters, Maude Smith and Edith Hancock; brother, Frank Thomas; brother in law, Grady Bennett and his wife Bettye; sisters in law, Loral Vanderweston, Janie Thomas, and Sharlene Thomas; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A graveside service and interment will be conducted at 10:00am Monday, August 16, 2010 at Asbury Cemetery with the Rev. Charlie McNutt officiating.
Special thanks to Monica Hickman, Craig Leatherwood, and the staff at Asbury Health Care in Maryville for the care given to Mrs. Bennett.
