Widow of Herbert O. Thomas. Longtime member of Riverview Baptist Church. Retired member of the dietary department at Ft. Sanders Hospital. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Augusta Laugherty; brothers, Lloyd and Claude Laugherty; and son, William Gerald Thomas. Survived by son, Roy L. Thomas and wife Pat; grandsons, Greg Thomas, and Gary Thomas and wife Kerri; granddaughters, Joy Thomas, and Vickie Brewer and husband Frank; daughter-in-law, Phoebe Thomas; sisters-in-law, Mildred Laugherty, Edith Hancock, Margaret Bennett, and Maude Smith; brother-in-law, Frank Thomas; niece, Rebecca Hickman and husband Phil; and eleven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 5:00 PM Sunday, January 17, 2010, in the chapel at Bridges Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Hancock and Rev. Michael Adcock officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45 AM Monday at Asbury Cemetery for an 11:00 AM interment.
