CLABO, FAYE CLEVENGER - born December 8, 1921 in Grainger County, Tennessee passed away Saturday, November 29, 2008 at Baptist West Hospital. Faye was a member of Galilee Baptist Church and former owner of Furniture Sales on Chapman Highway. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Clabo Sr.; daughter, Sue Ella Clabo; son, John Melvin Clabo. Faye is survived by her brother A.E. Clevenger and wife, Margaret; granddaughter, Laura Jan Smith and husband, Jeff; special niece Gail Pope, and her constant companion and pet Rusty. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 2, 2008 from 1-2 PM at Highland South Funeral Home with a celebration of life service to follow with Dr. George W. Gilbert and Reverend Clyde Martin officiating. Committal service will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Faye's memory to Galilee Baptist Church 8622 Pickens Gap Road, Knoxville, Tennessee 37920.
