WHITEHEAD, JANE COULTER - age 99, of Maryville, died Thursday, October 25, 2001 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was the oldest member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Andrew Morton Coulter and Leah Gamble Coulter ; brothers, Abe, Andy and Mose Coulter ; sisters, Edith Marshall, Rose Creech, Florence Headrick, Maude McNelly, Grace Phillips, Sue Roberts and Louise Davis; husband of 64 years, Charles Benton Whitehead; son, Rev. Keith Benton Whitehead; grandson, Jason Keith Whitehead. Survivors include, sons and daughters in law, Charles & Angelina Whitehead of Jamestown, Tenn., Andy & Pat Whitehead of Maryville; son, Kenneth (Tom) Whitehead of Conyers, Ga.; daughters and sons in law, Margaret & David White of Rockdale, TX, Laura & Harry Bryan of Knoxville, and Rose Mary & Tommy McBath of Rockford; 17 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday October 28, 2001 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Raymond Burnette and Dr. David Sharp officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Youth Ministry.
