Willie Ray Hurley, 72, of Parrottsville, died suddenly Saturday afternoon.
He was of the Baptist faith.
He was retired from Quaker Oats after 39 years of service and was an avid rabbit hunter.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Wiley Hurley; parents, William D. and Lucille Bailey Hurley; brothers, Fred and Ralph Hurley; and sisters, Irene Shelton and Dorothy Huff.
He was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Tim Gibbs and Wanda and Buford Lane; brother, Rev. Warren Hurley; grandchildren, Teresa and Jason Lane Black, Michael and Jeannie Lane and Stephen Gibbs; great-granddaughter, Samantha Lane, all of Parrottsville; special friend, June King of Parrottsville; special cousin, Jimmy Bailey of Parrottsville; and also several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Manes Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Caldwell and Rev. Jerry Raines officiating. Interment will be in the Forrest Hill Cemetery.
Family received friends Tuesday evening from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
